Amore Kreative (James Jeffrie II)

Jeffrie St. James’s action paintings are labor-intensive and captivating abstract depictions; portraying rich compositions of layered techniques, vibrant colors, expressive gestures and tribal inspired symbols. Each component is dynamically applied to a variety of mediums, from canvas to wood and fabric. During the application, the image continuously changes until all elements are balanced. These creations are the artist’s way of expressing himself organically.

James compares his work to a hip hop cadence over jazz instrumentals. The combination of spontaneous movements in relation to the way the his eye responds to each layer of paint and texture applied to it results in a fusion of techniques, creating its own distinct genre.
